  10. I recommend we purchase an IBM 4420-H12 disk drive to address the storage capacity problem we now have with System 10.

  15.    o  upgrade System 10 cost-effectively

  19. The IBM 4420-H12 will provide 700 megabytes of auxiliary storage to System 10.  It will eliminate our current critical capacity problem and allow us to move forward with our plan to provide additional system functions.

  21. Upgrade Cost-effectively

The IBM 4420-H12, at $13,000, is the least expensive option for meeting our needs and avoids having to upgrade the entire system now.  The two other units we have considered, the 3840-A12 and the 4420-H13, cost $41,000 and $26,000, respectively.  Upgrading the entire System 10 now would cost over $50,000.  Although the entire system will have to be upgraded eventually, I do not see sufficient reason to do so now.
